May 17, 2010, Bethesda, Md. — Congratulations go out to the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) for a highly successful 2010 BIO International Convention, which took place May 3-5 in Chicago, Illinois. Fixation is proud of the marketing strategy, design and interactive solutions they provided to help the client deliver a convention audience of 15,322 industry leaders from 49 states and 65 countries.
Account Directors Megan Campbell and Alex George, along with Account Executive Amelia Whiddon, were on hand at Chicago's McCormick Place last week to observe how Fixation's 2010 BIO International Convention creative theme played out in multiple dimensions—from directional signage on the show floor to the design of the new BIOtech Lounge and BIOPark Pavilion to screensavers to promotional giveaways.
"The show is a valuable experience for every professional connected to biotech — from the fields of research, food and agriculture, local commerce and technology to venture capitalists, policymakers and government officials. Our creative helped to bring cohesiveness to an event with so many moving parts, to articulate all of the key offerings with targeted messaging explaining where to go, what to focus on, who to talk to," said Megan Campbell.
In addition to design, Fixation developed and implemented new marketing tactics for 2010, including a Digital Directory and Buyers' Guide to complement the onsite printed Pocket Guide and a more robust, targeted email campaign.
The BIO International Convention is a high-profile four-day event that brings together biotech innovators and investors for exclusive partnering meetings, educational programming, keynote luncheon events, exhibits and more.
