Fixation and Sam Lippman Join Forces

Bethesda, MD—Jean Whiddon, president and CEO of Fixation Marketing and Sam Lippman, president of Integrated Show Management and Marketing (ISM), are excited to announce the launch of their strategic marketing partnership. Effective immediately, Fixation will be the official marketing agency of the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) and Large Show Roundtable (LSR), both produced by ISM.

Fixation will work with Sam to promote attendance at his events but also to craft a strategic plan to evolve ECEF and LSR to continue to meet the needs, and address the questions, of today’s 21st century association and business media executives who own and produce exhibitions and conventions.

“Fixation has been a proud sponsor of Large Show Roundtables so we’re very familiar with Sam’s work,” says Jean Whiddon. “We’re happy to partner with Sam to help him develop and market premier events that meet the needs of ISM’s customers and ours.”

Sam Lippman is also looking forward to his partnership with Fixation: “Fixation Marketing has been successful building some of the premier brands in the exhibition and convention space. Their strong mix of creative strategy, staff resources, and exhibition marketing expertise will help improve my events and grow my company.”

Both Large Show Roundtable and ECEF are considered best-in-class events for the exhibition and convention industry. ECEF is an invitation-only one-day event that brings together C-level executives from associations and business media companies, and provides them with productive networking and success strategies to grow their events. The 2009 ECEF drew a record attendance of more than 200 executives from around the world who convened in Washington, DC to access an exclusive research network and learn from each other. Attendees represented more than 350 exhibitions and conventions worldwide.

Large Show Roundtables, to be held two times in 2010, are hosted by premier destination cities in the United States and held in their first-tier convention centers. They are attended by 12-15 senior managers of large trade shows (participants’ trade shows must be 130,000 net square feet or larger to qualify). Participants set the agenda by suggesting the discussion topics most relevant to them. The result is an intimate, comfortable and confidential networking environment. Large Show Roundtables begin with a welcome reception and dinner the evening before, followed by a full day solving challenges that are unique to larger trade shows.

For more than a decade, Sam Lippman has been a leading provider of executive level consulting for the exhibition and convention industry. Prior to starting ISM, he produced international exhibitions (CES, GRAPH EXPO and PRINT) and conventions (National Computer Conference). Sam is a speaker, author and teacher, and is often quoted by the media. He is also an adjunct lecturer at George Washington University on exhibition marketing and management.
