Fixation Marketing Adds Four Trade Events to Roster
Bethesda, MD—Fixation Marketing is where the action is after adding three more trade shows, plus the launch of a new manufacturing industry event, to their growing roster of marketing clients.
Exhibit sales and awareness campaigns are now under way for imX, the FMI2012 and USFS event and PV America 2011, while work on Solar Power International 2011 (SPI) is set to rev up soon. Planning and executing both exhibitor and attendee marketing campaigns for all four events, Fixation is flexing its full-service muscles with strategy, creative development, advertising, direct mail, website and interactive marketing.
A team from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the American Machine Tool Distributors Association (AMTDA) chose Fixation to be the marketing partner for imX: Interactive Manufacturing Experience, a brand-new “concept” event for the manufacturing industry. The event concept and launch are the result of a three-year collaboration between SME, AMTDA and eight leading machine tool manufacturers to create a knowledge-building, interactive event for decision makers across all segments of U.S. manufacturing. The invitation-only event will take place September 12-14, 2011, in Las Vegas.
“We are so excited to be a part of the imX launch,” says Fixation President and CEO Jean Whiddon. “While we enjoy the challenge of bringing fresh ideas to the table for each of our clients, it’s very special to be part of a team that builds something from the ground up.”
Washington, D.C.-based Solar Energy Trade Shows (SETS) tapped Fixation for its flagship show, Solar Power International (SPI), soon after Fixation began work on promotions for PV America, SETS’ regional PV show in Philadelphia next April 3-5, 2011. After several years in California, SPI will head to sunny Dallas, Texas, October 18-20, 2011. The event draws 24,000 professional attendees from around the world, making it the largest solar conference and expo in North America.
The most recent bit of good news came when Food Marketing Institute and NaylorCMG asked Fixation to create and execute an integrated campaign for domestic and international exhibitor and attendee promotions for FMI2012 and the co-located U.S. Food Showcase (USFS) events, April 30-May 3, 2012, in Dallas. Collaboration on FMI2012 will mark a welcomed continuation of Fixation’s longstanding partnership with NaylorCMG and a pleasant case of deja vu for Sharyn Collinson, who was FMI’s director of exhibit sales, service and marketing before joining Fixation in early 2003.
“This is where I cut my teeth’ and really learned the business of trade shows,” says Collinson on working again with FMI. “I still feel so much passion for this event and for the association. We can’t wait to focus that passion on the marketing of these events!”
