Fixation Marketing Expands Services, Staff and Resources through Strategic Merger

Bethesda, MD—Fixation Marketing has expanded its resources through a merger with FORT Group Inc., a full-service marketing agency based in Ridgefield Park, NJ. FORT Group acquired Fixation from President & CEO Jean Whiddon, who has worked at Fixation since 1993 and acquired the company in 2000.

Whiddon will stay on as brand communications strategist, allowing her to focus on client relationships and business development.

Julie Parsons has stepped into the role of managing director after serving as vice president of Fixation for four years. Prior to joining Fixation, Parsons worked in association management for nearly two decades, most recently as vice president of marketing at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions and on the leadership team at Solar Energy Trade Shows. Parsons’ role will include leading Fixation’s DC office, interfacing with the New Jersey office of FORT Group, while also lending her keen strategic marketing guidance to Fixation’s staff and clients.
