Fixation Named Good Corporate Citizen

Bethesda, MD—The Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County (CVC-MC) has named Fixation Marketing a Good Corporate Citizen for excellence in community service. Local businesses nominated for the 2009 Corporate Volunteer Council Awards were judged on community service activities initiated or completed in Montgomery County during the period July 2008 through August 2009.

Fixation’s president and CEO, Jean Whiddon, graduated from Leadership Montgomery Class of 2009 this summer. In addition, Fixation produced pro bono projects for Montgomery County Humane Society and The Heart of America Foundation.

The CVC-MC educates businesses on how to partner with and support non-profit organizations by helping create successful volunteer/charitable programs that positively impact the business, its employees and the local community. The CVC-MC is committed to increasing corporate volunteer participation and opportunities among Montgomery County businesses. They accomplish their mission of promoting corporate volunteerism by providing a source of information, by conducting monthly educational programs and networking opportunities, and by supporting and recognizing members’ efforts.
